We tried a boxed variety last night and it was pretty good. My daughter added some 80% unsweetened cocoa chunks to it for a fudgier taste. She set the timer and when she tested it was afraid it might not be done. We cooked it a minute longer (according to the maximum time to bake on the box) and then let it cool.
It looked like a brownie (a bit flat) and it cut like a brownie. When we tasted it, warm because we could not wait, it was very fudgy. The taste and texture was great but the brownie was less than an inch in thickness.
I would buy it again but maybe beat the eggs higher and fold in the remaining ingredients to make it a bit lighter.
Wheat free is looking less awful. 🙂
